Hourly Rate Calculator
Estimate your weekly, monthly, and annual gross earnings from an hourly rate, regular working hours, and overtime.
Calculate Your Earnings
Example: 1.5 means 150% of the regular rate.
How the Hourly Rate Calculator Works
This calculator estimates gross earnings by combining your hourly rate, regular weekly hours, overtime hours, overtime multiplier, and working weeks per year.
Your regular weekly earnings are calculated by multiplying your hourly rate by your regular hours. Overtime earnings are calculated using your overtime rate and overtime hours.
Your estimated annual gross income is then based on your total weekly gross earnings multiplied by the number of working weeks you enter.
Example Calculation
Suppose you earn $20 per hour, work 40 regular hours per week, and work 5 overtime hours at a 1.5× overtime rate.
Regular weekly pay: $20 × 40 = $800
Overtime rate: $20 × 1.5 = $30/hour
Overtime weekly pay: $30 × 5 = $150
Total weekly gross: $800 + $150 = $950
Estimated annual gross: $950 × 52 = $49,400

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I calculate my weekly pay from an hourly rate?
Multiply your hourly rate by your regular hours worked each week. If you work overtime, calculate your overtime pay separately and add it to your regular weekly pay.
How is overtime pay calculated?
Your overtime rate is your regular hourly rate multiplied by the overtime multiplier. That overtime rate is then multiplied by the number of overtime hours worked.
What overtime multiplier should I use?
A common example is 1.5, meaning 150% of the regular hourly rate. Overtime rules vary by employer, contract, and country, so use the multiplier that applies to your situation.
How is annual income calculated?
Annual gross income is estimated by multiplying weekly gross pay by the number of working weeks you enter. The default is 52 weeks, but you can change it for your schedule.
Does this calculator calculate take-home pay?
No. It estimates gross earnings before income tax, social contributions, insurance, retirement deductions, and other payroll deductions.
Can I use this calculator for part-time work?
Yes. Enter the number of regular hours you actually work each week. The calculator will estimate your weekly, monthly, and annual gross earnings.
Can I use a different number of working weeks?
Yes. Change the working-weeks field if you do not work all 52 weeks, such as when you have unpaid breaks, seasonal work, or another schedule.
